Prodigo Nero D'Avola 2023

This red wine originates from Italy and specifically comes from Sicilia (Sicily), under the subregion designation of Terre Siciliane IGT. The Prodigo line was created to celebrate the harmonious link between Italian food and wine, with 'Prodigo' meaning 'lavish, sumptuous, luxurious or grand'.

Wine Description

The wine has a ruby-red colour. On the nose (aroma), it offers a slightly spicy bouquet with notes of dried figs and ripe fruits like blackberry and boysenberry. The palate is medium-bodied and full-bodied with flavours of prune, mature black cherry, and a hint of star anise. The wine is balanced and complex, showcasing its richness alongside good structure. The finish is round, velvety, with a note of vanilla, and a lingering dry character from the tannins.
