Product description

Road Trip Classic Lager is the flagship brew from Vancouver’s Red Truck Beer Company. Since the brewery's relocation to its iconic "Truck Stop" location in the Brewery Creek district in 2015, this beer has become a staple of British Columbia’s craft scene. Built on a philosophy of "honest craftsmanship," it is a traditional European-style lager that avoids the shortcuts of mass-produced brands. It is designed to be a reliable, high-quality "utility" beer equally at home at a summer concert or a backyard barbecue.

Beer Description

Red Truck Lager pours a brilliant, clear light gold with a medium-sized white head that leaves light, streaky lacing as it recedes.

Aroma: The nose is clean and nostalgic. It leads with a scent of freshly baked bread and grainy malt, followed by the classic herbal and spicy aroma of Noble hops. There is a subtle hint of honey-like sweetness that adds a pleasant softness to the bouquet.

Palate: On the tongue, it is light-to-medium bodied with a crisp, refreshing carbonation. It leads with a smooth, balanced flavor of biscuity malt and toasted grain. This is followed by a delicate, spicy hop bitterness that provides a clean "snap" without lingering. The finish is remarkably dry and thirst-quenching.

Profile: It sits at a standard 5.0% ABV and a restrained 16 IBU, prioritizing balance and drinkability above all else.

Technical Notes: This beer is a showcase of traditional methods and premium ingredients. It is brewed using 100% Canadian Prairie two-row malted barley and authentic Saaz hops imported from the Czech Republic. To achieve its refined clarity and smooth profile, Red Truck utilizes a "slow" brewing philosophy, including a cool fermentation and an extended cold-storage (lagering) process that lasts for several weeks.
