This vibrant and fruit-forward rosé originates from British Columbia, Canada. Road 13 Vineyards, located on the Golden Mile Bench in Oliver, is one of the Okanagan’s most celebrated wineries. The "Honest John’s" label is named after John Oliver, the 19th-century BC Premier known for his straightforwardness.
Wine Description
The Road 13 Honest John’s Rosé presents a pale pink color with bright floral aromatics. The sensory profile is fresh and delicate, featuring a nose of candied strawberry, white blossom, and grapefruit. On the palate, the wine is light and juicy, showcasing flavors of watermelon, peaches, and red cherries, balanced by a "sherbet-like" acidity and a crisp, dry finish. It is characterized by its refreshing "Atlantic-style" vitality, leading to a clean and aromatic conclusion. This complex blend is primarily Cabernet Sauvignon (45%) and Merlot (22%), with smaller portions of Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Grenache. It was aged for six months in stainless steel to maintain its primary fruit intensity. It typically has an ABV of 12.5% to 13%.
