The grapes for this red blend were harvested at peak ripeness, then hand-sorted, fermented and aged separately. The wines were pressed off their skins after 14-20 days to ensure this red blend is fruit forward and approachable upon release, yet still have aging potential of 3-5 years.
More neutral oak barrels were used in the aging to help polish the gentle tannins of this crowd-pleasing red wine.
Subtle eucalyptus, cranberry sauce, red currants, plum, and ripe red cherry are delicately pronounced on the nose. Reflected on the palate are flavours of blackberry, dark plum, and cassis.
