This classic Zinfandel originates from the renowned Sonoma County in California, drawing fruit from several key subregions including the Russian River, Alexander, and Dry Creek Valleys. The winery was founded in 1959 by Rodney Strong, a former professional dancer who became a pioneer of Sonoma County winemaking and was the 13th person to bond a winery in the region. Since 1989, the estate has been family owned by the Kleins, fourth generation California farmers who have maintained a deep commitment to sustainable farming and modern artisan winemaking.

Wine Description

'Old Vines' Zinfandel displays a deep garnet colour and opens with expressive aromas of black cherry, ripe raspberry, and creamy vanilla. On the palate, the wine is rich and silkily textured, featuring a complex profile of dark plum, boysenberry, and black pepper. This medium to full bodied red is characterized by its excellent balance, refined tannins, and a long, inviting finish layered with notes of dark fruit and subtle oak.
