Product description
This structured and 'elegant' rosé wine originates from France, within the Coteaux Varois en Provence A.O.P. appellation of the iconic Provence region. Roseblood is the highly dynamic, flagship lifestyle cuvée of Château d'Estoublon, a historic estate founded in 1489 in the heart of the Alpilles mountains. In 2020, the property was acquired by an extraordinary, hands-on ownership group consisting of former wine executive Jean-Guillaume Prats (ex-Lafite Rothschild and Cos d'Estournel), entrepreneur Stéphane Courbit, and musician/model Carla Bruni alongside her husband, former French President Nicolas Sarkozy. The estate operates under a philosophy of Mediterranean "Art of Living," using a gravity-fed, low-intervention approach to highlight pure site transparency. The grapes are sourced from high-altitude hillside vineyards sitting between 350 and 500 metres above sea level, where clay-limestone terrains, red earth soils, and pockets of gravel and flint give the fruit a distinct structural tension.
Wine Description
Roseblood Rosé presents a luminous, pale eau-de-rose appearance in the glass with soft peach and melon reflections. Its sensory profile is airy, precise, and highly expressive, opening with a delicate bouquet of linden and jasmine blossoms, wild raspberries, and pink strawberries, layered with fresh undertones of vineyard peach, cut watermelon, and wild Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, fluid, and beautifully balanced, showcasing a succulent, fruit-forward core of crunchy nectarines, citrus zest, and tangy red fruits. It is characterized by its outstanding, cool-climate freshness and a vibrant backbone of tonic acidity that cuts through the fruit's natural generosity. The mouthfeel is supple yet finely chiseled, driving into a lengthy, bone-dry, and highly persistent finish highlighted by a distinctive saline minerality and crisp grapefruit tones.
