Product description

Rothschild Pinot Noir Rimapere originates from New Zealand, within the Marlborough region and the prestigious Rapaura sector of the Wairau Valley. The estate was acquired in 2012 by Baron Benjamin de Rothschild in a partnership with Terry Peabody, the owner of Craggy Range. The winery's name, 'Rimapere', means 'five arrows' in Māori, a title that simultaneously honours the Rothschild family coat of arms and traditional New Zealand culture. Since 2020, the vineyard has been managed with regenerative and organic practices, achieving official Biogro certification in 2024.

Wine Description

This red wine is fruit driven and typically displays a vibrant ruby colour. The sensory profile features an aromatic nose often characterized by red fruit notes, while the palate is defined by a backbone of acidity and a silky mouthfeel. Its structure is noted for both finesse and complexity, concluding with a long and balanced finish.

  • Varietal Composition: 100% Pinot Noir.

  • Stylistic Notes: The wine is crafted for elegance and precision, with a textural complexity derived from its exceptional stony terroir.

  • ABV: 13%.

  • Organic Status: Managed with regenerative and organic practices since 2020; Biogro certified as of 2024.
