This dry white wine originates from the Rheingau region of Germany, specifically from the single vineyard (Einzellage) of Schloss Johannisberg. With a history spanning over 1,200 years, Schloss Johannisberg is the world’s first Riesling estate and is credited with the discovery of Spätlese (late harvest) wine in 1775. The winery's philosophy utilizes a unique color-coded capsule system initiated in 1820 to categorize quality; Bronzelack (Bronze Seal) identifies their high-quality Trocken (dry) estate wine.

The Schloss Johannisberg Bronzelack Riesling 2022 presents a lemon-yellow colour in the glass. The sensory profile is elegant and precise, featuring an expressive nose of peach, pear peel, and Amalfi lemon zest, layered with delicate nuances of orange, nutmeg, and chamomile. On the palate, the wine is sleek and racy, showcasing a "huge wave" of wet stone minerality balanced by a sharp, linear acidity of approximately 8.0 g/l. It is characterized by its "cool-climate" style sourced from the cooler western parcels of the vineyard leading to an incredibly long and stony finish.
