Siempre Anejo Tequila

Siempre Añejo Tequila is a high-end, barrel-aged spirit founded by Mexican-Canadian partners Monica Sanita and Alex Lacroix. Crafted in the Highlands (Los Altos) of Jalisco, Mexico with production transitioning to the acclaimed Feliciano Vivanco distillery (NOM 1414) in Arandas under Master Distiller Sergio Cruz—the brand was established as a homage to traditional, additive-free agave craftsmanship.

Spirit Description

Siempre Añejo is produced from 100% blue Weber agave harvested at peak maturity from mineral-rich highland fields. The agaves are slow-cooked and double-distilled in traditional copper pot stills before undergoing extended aging in hand-selected oak barrels (combining American white oak ex-bourbon casks and cognac barrels). This patient wood maturation imparts rich dessert-like notes while retaining the underlying sweetness of cooked agave.

• Colour: Deep golden amber with bright copper highlights.

• Aroma: Rich and inviting, opening with toasted oak, salted caramel, and vanilla bean, complemented by dark chocolate, dried fruit, candied orange peel, and warm baking spices.

• Palate: Lush, rounded, and complex on the entry. Upfront flavors of cooked agave, butterscotch, and sweet caramel transition into dark cacao, roasted nuts, vanilla, and gentle barrel spices.

• Body: Medium-to-full-bodied with a smooth, velvety viscosity that coats the palate evenly without aggressive alcohol burn.

• Finish: Long, warm, and comforting, tapering off with lingering notes of dark chocolate, sweet oak spice, subtle peppercorns, and roasted agave.

• ABV: Bottled at 40% (80 Proof).
