Product description
Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 originates from the United States, specifically from Sonoma County within the Alexander Valley subregion. Established in 1972 by Ray Duncan and Justin Meyer, Silver Oak began with a singular focus on creating world class Cabernet Sauvignon aged exclusively in American oak. Today, the winery remains family owned and operated by the Duncan family, who maintain a winemaking philosophy centered on precision viticulture and sustainability.
Wine Description
This Cabernet Sauvignon presents a brilliant ruby colour with violet hues at the rim. The aromatic profile is complex, featuring notes of red cherry, raspberry, and blackberry accented by iris, vanilla, and clove. On the palate, the wine is elegant and medium to full bodied, delivering flavours of black currant, dark plum, and warm baking spices with a lift of acidity. The finish is long and persistent, revealing hints of chocolate covered espresso beans, fresh cut cigar, and velvety tannins. The varietal composition for the 2019 vintage is 95.2% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2.5% Cabernet Franc, 1.9% Merlot, and 0.4% Petit Verdot. It has an ABV of 14.4%.
