Product description

Sinegal has become one of the rising stars of Napa Valley as well as a critic's darling. Having acquired a terrifically situated location long known for grape growing and after assembling an all-star winemaking team, it's no wonder Sinegal is turning heads. The 2019 vintage marks the second release of "Details", a selection of Sonoma County's best hillside terroirs. Owner David Sinegal acquired this historic St. Helena estate in 2013, but it's been planted in vineyards since the 1880s. Veteran grower Jim Barbour tends to the vines while Ryan Knoth, who's worked with David Abreu, Michel Rolland, and Philippe Melka, crafts the wines. The estate is run by Trevor Antognini, who managed such lofty estates as Peter Michael and Sloan. This dream team of winemaking employs traditional farming techniques combined with state-of-the-art winemaking. The estate has spared no expense to secure its rise to the top tier of California winemaking. This property needs to be on your radar.

96 Points - Vinous

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Details is stunning. Vibrant and explosive in the glass, the Details Cabernet shows just how compelling Cabernet can be beyond Napa Valley. Gravel, crushed rocks, menthol, licorice, plum and incense saturate the palate. This inky, structured Cabernet is one of the very finest Cabernets readers will find in its price point, or virtually any price point, for that matter. 2019 is a blend from sites in Sonoma Valley, Alexander Valley and Knights Valley.
