Limoncello di Sorrento Strega originates from the Campania region of southwestern Italy. It is produced by the historic Alberti Benvenuto distillery in Benevento, famous worldwide for its iconic yellow herbal liqueur, Liquore Strega, which dates back to 1860. This premium limoncello is crafted using strict traditional methods and carries the I.G.P.(Indicazione Geografica Protetta) designation, guaranteeing that only authentic, legally protected lemons from the Sorrento peninsula are used.
Spirit Description
This natural liqueur is made by infusing the aromatic peels of hand-picked Sorrento Oval lemons (Massese variety) in premium pure alcohol. It presents a vibrant, bright yellow colour with a rich, velvety body.
Aroma: Intensely aromatic, bursting with fresh citrus oils, lemon zest, and a hint of Mediterranean floral sweetness.
Palate: Perfectly balanced and sweet, avoiding any harsh sharpness. It coats the palate with a rich, juicy lemon flavour, followed by a bright, refreshing tartness that cuts through the sugar.
Finish: Long, crisp, and clean, leaving a lingering essence of sun-ripened citrus peel.
