Taylor Fladgate Sentinels Vintage Port 2022

Taylor’s is one of the oldest and most prestigious Port houses, founded in 1692, and the Sentinels name is inspired by the granite pillars, or 'marcos de feitoria,' that were erected between 1758 and 1761 to demarcate the highest quality Port wine regions. This blend is crafted to celebrate the rich heritage and distinct, powerfully fruity style of the Pinhão Valley.

Wine Description

The bouquet offers an explosion of powerful woodland fruit, layered with rich blackcurrant, dark plum, and cherries. Subtle notes of dark cherry, rose petals, mint, and rockrose enhance the aroma, showcasing complexity. On the palate, the Port displays remarkable freshness and purity of fruit, with focused berry flavours of damsons, plums, and black cherries. It has hints of lavender and herbal notes, and a long, evolving finish that demonstrates its elegance and vigour.
