The vines thrive on sandy and pebbly alluvial soils, benefiting from a sunny Mediterranean microclimate refreshed by constant sea breezes. These ideal conditions allow Vermentino to achieve optimal phenolic maturity while retaining a high natural freshness and chiseled mineral drive.

Wine Description

Tenuta Le Colonne Costa Toscana Vermentino presents a luminous, pale straw yellow colour in the glass with silver and greenish highlights along the rim. Its sensory profile is exceptionally fresh, vibrant, and complex, delivering a pure and elegant portrait of coastal Tuscan terroir. The bouquet opens with a soaring display of white flowers, fresh citrus, white peach, and Mediterranean aromatic herbs, enhanced by subtle notes of lemon zest, green apple, and a distinct imprint of sea salt. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied, lively, and balanced, showcasing a succulent fruit core supported by a refreshing natural acidity. The texture is fluid and silky, stretching into a long, clean, and mineral finish that marks the palate with persistent notes of sea stone and citrus.

This high definition Tuscan expression is 100% Vermentino, carefully hand harvested to preserve fruit integrity. Following gentle pressing, the juice fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the varietal's pure aromatic character. The wine aged on fine lees for several months prior to bottling. It reaches an effortlessly integrated alcohol content (ABV) of 13.0% and is finished bone dry.
