Tequila Lopez Reposado

Tequila Lopez Reposado is the barrel-aged expression from the Lopez family’s "El Sabino" estate in the Highlands of Jalisco. Following the artisanal standards of their Blanco, this Reposado is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in iron-rich volcanic soil at high altitudes. The spirit is aged for six months in American white oak barrels—longer than the minimum two-month requirement—allowing it to develop a mellowed complexity while retaining the vibrant, fruity character of the highland agave.

Spirit Description

This tequila presents a soft, golden amber hue. On the nose, the bright citrus and cooked agave notes of the Blanco are joined by warm aromas of caramel, vanilla, and toasted nuts. The palate is medium-to-full bodied and remarkably smooth, delivering a harmonious balance of honeyed sweetness and baking spices like cinnamon and clove. The influence of the American oak provides a buttery mouthfeel and a touch of balsa wood. The finish is long and warming, characterized by a gentle spicy pepper kick and a lingering hint of butterscotch. It is typically bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof).
