Product description
Padre Azul Super Premium Blanco (Silver) Tequila is an unaged artisanal spirit produced in Jalisco, Mexico, within the Tequila Valley (Lowlands) region. The brand was launched in 2014 by Austrian entrepreneur Hans Peter Eder and his partners, inspired by his marriage into a Mexican family and a desire to merge high-end Austrian luxury design with traditional Mexican heritage. Crafted under the direction of Master Distiller Erika Sangeado at NOM 1466, the name "Padre" is derived from the popular Mexican slang phrase "que padre" (meaning how fantastic). The bottle is a visual standout, instantly recognizable by its hand-stitched leather jacket and heavy, solid-metal skull stopper.
Spirit Description
This silver tequila is made from 100% blue Weber agave harvested at peak maturity from fields in the Lowlands. The agave hearts are steam-cooked in traditional masonry brick ovens, fermented in stainless steel tanks, and double-distilled in stainless steel pot stills before being bottled unaged to lock in the primary flavors of the agave.
Colour: Crystal clear, bright, and completely transparent.
Aroma: Highly sweet, expressive, and fruity. The bouquet opens with strong notes of baked fruit compote, heavy vanilla bean, cooked agave, and hints of pear and banana, accented by a very soft hint of mint.
Palate: Velvet-smooth and uncharacteristically sweet for a standard silver tequila. It delivers prominent flavors of sweet marshmallow, sugar syrup, and cooked squash, which blend into a mid-palate layer of tropical fruits and a light herbal undertone.
Body: Medium-to-heavy-bodied with a soft, smooth, and viscous mouth-coating texture that offers a completely minimal alcohol burn.
Finish: Moderately long, incredibly clean, and sweet, trailing off with a gentle touch of white pepper and a faint herbal freshness.
ABV: Bottled at 40% (80 Proof).
