The Macallan 'The Harmony Collection' Coconut

This single malt Scotch whisky originates from Scotland, produced in the Speyside region. Crafted at The Macallan Distillery in Craigellachie, "The Harmony Collection" is an annual, limited-release series dedicated to innovative, sustainable packaging and distinctive flavor exploration. For the 2024 release created in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil, The Macallan released Vibrant Oak and Guardian Oak, featuring organic packaging derived from oak tree byproducts. A prominent expression in this release focuses on tropical oak influences, highlighting coconut, vanilla, and sweet toasted wood notes derived from a combination of first-fill American oak sherry-seasoned casks and ex-bourbon barrels.

Spirit Description

This single malt displays a bright, warm honey-gold hue in the glass. The nose opens with rich, inviting aromas of toasted coconut, creamy vanilla custard, and toasted oak, followed by subtle fruit undertones of sweet banana, green apple, and bright citrus peel. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with a silky, coating mouthfeel, delivering luscious flavours of desiccated coconut, toasted almond, butterscotch, and sweet malt, balanced by delicate cinnamon spice and soft oak tannin. The finish is long, smooth, and sweet, leaving a lingering trail of warm coconut, sweet oak, and gentle vanilla spice. Bottled at an ABV of 44.2%, it exhibits an exceptionally harmonious, tropical, and wood-forward profile.
