Tiberio Trebbiano D'abruzzo 2024

Tiberio is a relatively new winery, established by Riccardo Tiberio in 2000 after he discovered an impressive old plot of Trebbiano Abruzzese vines. The estate is now run by his highly competent children, daughter Cristiana and son Antonio. Their winemaking philosophy centres on highlighting the purity and transparency of the variety and the place. They champion true Trebbiano Abruzzese, a noble and rare variety that was often confused with others in the region. The family exclusively uses free run juice for their white wines, believing it conveys the purest expression of the fruit, vintage, and terroir.

Wine Description

On the nose, it elegantly unfolds vibrant aromas of lemon and grapefruit, intertwined with the delicacy of white flowers, such as jasmine, and a gentle herbal touch. Other profiles include musky peach, apricot, crushed rocks, and hints of lemon zest.

On the palate, it is described as refreshing and balanced, with lively acidity enhancing the character of yellow fruit, like peach, and tart orchard fruits. The wine presents a soothingly soft texture, a subtle saline nuance, and a distinctive mineral-driven character.
