Tenuta Tignanello is owned by the Antinori family, whose winemaking heritage spans 27 generations and over 600 years. This historic estate is considered a cornerstone of Italian viticulture, as Tignanello was the first Sangiovese-based wine to be aged in barriques and among the first Chianti Classico reds to be produced without white grapes.

Wine Description

This wine presents an intense ruby red colour with purple highlights. The nose is potent and complex, offering a bouquet of blackcurrants, blueberries, and dark cherries mingled with spicy notes of liquorice, rosemary, and balsamic sensations. On the palate, it is full bodied and velvety, featuring a rich mouthfeel with polished, chewy tannins and a distinct point of freshness. The finish is long and flavorful, accented by mineral touches and well-fused oak.
