To Kalon Vineyard Company's 'Eliza's' Red Blend originates from the esteemed To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville, Napa Valley, California, USA. Established by H.W. Crabb in the 19th century, To Kalon—Greek for 'Highest Beauty'—has garnered a reputation for producing exceptional wines that embody the vineyard's unique terroir. The 'Eliza's' cuvée is named in honor of Eliza Yount, a notable Napa Valley pioneer and widow of Yountville's founder, who once owned a portion of this historic vineyard. 

Wine Description

The 'Eliza's' Red Blend is a meticulously crafted wine composed of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon and 37% Cabernet Franc. It exhibits a deep, rich garnet color. The nose is greeted with enticing aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherries, and subtle hints of lead-pencil shavings, sweet tobacco, and licorice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with very fine tannins that spread across the palate, leading to an extremely long finish. The harmonious integration of Cabernet Franc introduces exotic spice notes and floral nuances, while the Cabernet Sauvignon provides weight, structure, and a deep, rich, black fruit character.
