As the second distillery ever to be built on the Isle of Skye, they combine a respect for the heritage of the island and its whisky making traditions with a fresh spirit of creativity to achieve a distinctive distillery style which they call Well-Tempered Peat.
Nose: Delicate coal smoke and petrichor. Leaf mulch and dried limes. Pomegranate juice and sea air with pear drop and white grape juice beneath.
Palate: Very light bodied. Barbeque- charred apples and pears, smoked orange segments and a little green olive. A touch of celery and chive.
Finish: Medium length. The smoke dissipates, leaving a delicate medicinal aftertaste.
