The Tornatore family has deep roots in the region, farming in the village of Castiglione di Sicilia since 1865. As one of the largest and most respected estates in the Etna DOC, Tornatore is celebrated for its commitment to sustainability; adhering to VIVA and SOStain certifications and for producing wines that transparently reflect the volcano’s unique "high-altitude" character.

Wine Description

Tornatore Etna Bianco 2024 presents a pale straw-yellow color with intense greenish reflections. The sensory profile is remarkably fresh and "seaworthy," featuring a fragrant nose of green apple, white peach, and grapefruit, layered with sophisticated notes of Mediterranean herbs and a signature "gunflint" smoke. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and "sapid," showcasing a striking saline minerality and racy acidity. This 100% Carricante reached an ABV of 12.5%. To preserve its "volcanic energy," the fruit was fermented in concrete tanks and aged on its lees for three months, avoiding oak to emphasize the purity of the variety.
