Familia Torres is a renowned family-owned winery with a history dating back to 1870. In the 1990s, the Torres family reintroduced viticulture to Priorat, inspired by the Carthusian monks who cultivated the land in the 11th century. Their Salmos project honours this legacy, showcasing the rugged landscape and steep, slate-rich slopes of Porrera.
Wine Description
This expressive red blend, composed of 56% Cariñena and 44% Garnacha, presents a deep cherry red colour. Aromas unfold with layers of raspberry preserves, dried figs, and plum, intertwined with subtle hints of coconut and marzipan. On the palate, the wine is rich and structured, with polished tannins and remarkable length. Secondary notes of toasted oak and cedar add complexity. The balance and freshness of the wine underscore its elegance and depth.
