Traveller Whiskey

Traveller Whiskey (officially Traveller Whiskey Blend No. 40) is a collaborative premium blended American whiskey created by Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, and 10-time Grammy Award-winning country musician Chris Stapleton. Crafted under the supervision of Buffalo Trace Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley, the expression represents a unique fusion of artist storytelling and world-class Kentucky distillation expertise. Named after Stapleton's acclaimed debut solo album Traveller, the spirit was released after testing over 50 experimental blends, with iteration No. 40 selected as the definitive recipe.

Spirit Description

Traveller Whiskey is a carefully constructed blend of hand-selected whiskeys sourced from Sazerac’s award-winning distilleries, including Kentucky straight bourbon and high-rye whiskeys. Designed to offer an easy-drinking, approachable profile without sacrificing richness or character, it bridges the gap between classic smooth Canadian-style blends and traditional bold Kentucky bourbons.

• Colour: Golden amber with polished copper and warm bronze reflections.

• Aroma: Soft, sweet, and inviting, opening with sweet vanilla, dark caramel, butterscotch, and toasted oak, followed by hints of red apple, dried fruit, and soft baking spices.

• Palate: Exceptionally smooth, light, and approachable on the entry. Upfront sweet notes of vanilla cream, dark honey, and toasted corn yield to subtle oak spice, sweet fruitiness, and a gentle touch of rye warmth.

• Body: Medium-bodied with a soft, round, and silky mouthfeel.

• Finish: Medium length, clean, and warm, trailing off with lingering vanilla, sweet oak, and a delicate touch of spice.

• ABV: Bottled at 45% ABV (90 Proof).
