The Trius Riesling is a classic expression of the Niagara Peninsula in Ontario, Canada. Trius Winery is a Canadian winemaking pioneer with over 40 years of history, known for being the first to have a Canadian vintage recognized as the 'Best Red Wine in the World' in 1991. Currently led by Winemaker Emma Garner, the winery focuses on blending art and science to craft award-winning wines that reflect the unique, rich terroir of the region.
Wine Description
This light and refreshing Riesling presents a clear and bright appearance in the glass. The aromatic profile is clean and fresh, featuring notes of white peach, green apple, and a touch of floral and tropical fruit. On the palate, it is slightly off-dry and juicy, offering a mouthwatering balance of natural sweetness and crisp acidity with flavours of Meyer lemon, pink grapefruit, and orchard fruits.
Food Pairing
The wine’s balance of acidity and residual sugar makes it an ideal partner for lightly spiced Thai or Indian curry dishes, as well as savoury Asian vegetable preparations. It also pairs beautifully with fresh seafood such as sushi, oysters, or halibut, and creamy cheeses like Brie and Camembert.
