Product description

Tequila Tromba Blanco is a premium artisanal silver tequila produced in the Highland region of Los Altos in Jalisco, Mexico. The brand was founded in 2010 through an international partnership between legendary Mexican Master Distiller Marco Cedano (formerly the original master distiller and distillery manager for Don Julio), Canadian entrepreneur Eric Brass, and Australian partners Nick Reid and James Sherry. The name 'Tromba' translates to the intense, localized rainstorm that hits the Los Altos highlands every spring, providing vital nourishment to the region's rich red clay soil.

Spirit Description

Tromba Blanco is crafted from 100% blue Weber agave harvested at peak maturity. The agave hearts are slow-cooked, extracted, and small-batch distilled in traditional copper pot stills before being bottled unaged to preserve the vibrant highland terroir.

  • Colour: Crystal clear and bright.

  • Aroma: The nose is highly expressive, greeting the senses with fresh raw agave, sweet caramelized cooked agave, and a bright overlay of citrus fruit, lime zest, and soft mint.

  • Palate: Remarkably smooth and oily on the tongue, it balances vegetal, earthy notes with the sweetness of boiled squash and grilled pineapple. A distinct mid-palate fruitiness reminiscent of cantaloupe emerges alongside baking spices.

  • Body: Medium-bodied with a slight, pleasant viscosity that coats the mouth evenly.

  • Finish: Clean, refreshing, and moderately long, tapering off with a characteristic highland black pepper kick, mineral elements, and lingering sweet melon.

  • ABV: Bottled at 40% (80 Proof) for the North American market.
