Truchard Vineyards is a small, family-owned winery in the Carneros region of Napa Valley. Proprietors Tony and Jo Ann Truchard have managed a successful vineyard and grown exceptional grapes for nearly 40 years. Through their hard work and devotion to this unique property, they helped pioneer grape growing in the Carneros region of Napa. In 1989, the Truchards established a winery and began producing wines using only their estate-grown fruit.
The 2018 Roussanne displays floral aromas of pineapple, honeysuckle, and jasmine, with highlights of brioche and vanilla. The mouth is crisp, with clean flavors of fresh pear, honeydew melon, and lychee. Bright acidity provides a lengthy finish of citrus, mineral, and spice.
90 Points - Wine Enthusiast One of the few in Napa to make this variety, fermenting it in French oak to build texture and weight. Potato-skin, apple and pineapple flavors accent a soft, juicy and layered palate of moderate viscosity, finishing citrusy crisp.
