G.D. Vajra is located in Piedmont, Italy, in the Barolo region’s highest village of Vergne. Founded in 1972 by Giuseppe Domenico Vajra and now run by his son Aldo along with his wife Milena and their children, the estate has been a pioneer in organic viticulture since 1971. Their winemaking philosophy focuses on precision and transparency, treating each vineyard parcel as a micro-garden to highlight the natural elegance and purity of the fruit.

Wine Description

The Vajra Dolcetto d'Alba is a 100% Dolcetto that displays a vibrant ruby-purple color. The nose opens with an expressive burst of blueberry, violets, and marasca cherries, layered with subtle hints of white pepper and fresh thyme. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and generous, featuring a juicy core of red berries and plums supported by fine, crunchy tannins and a refreshing acidity. The finish is elegant and persistent, marked by a characteristic touch of almond and sweet spice.
