Verite 'La Joie' 2010

5 units available online.
Product description

"The 2010 vintage was a long season for ripening after a beautiful flowering. This vintage will live for a long time — yet this racy, powerful, elegant wine can also be appreciated young. This vintage is a great example of what Sonoma can do with a diversity of soils and a grandiose climate. Harvest took place September 25th through October 16th." – Pierre Seillan, Vigneron

A beautiful wine with intense color and a red crown along the edges, the 2010 La Joie reveals a silky, soft and voluptuously fruity nose with a touch of discreet oak and fine spices. It opens with an opulent palate of red and black fruits, spices and licorice before giving way to an impressively long finish. This is a wine with very fine tannins; a wine of balance between fruit and minerality. While it can be enjoyed young this wine will age at least 20 years.

94 Points - Vinous     Graphite, plums, smoke, licorice and incense jump from the glass in the 2010 La Joie. Rich, sumptuous and beautifully layered, the 2010 captures the essence of the vintage. The fruit is intense and super-concentrated, but at the same time, there is plenty of vibrancy and sheer verve in the glass. The 2010 needs at least a few years in bottle for the Cabernet Sauvignon tannins to start softening.

92+ Points Robert Parker Wine Parker - Copious aromas of incense, unsmoked cigar tobacco, Christmas fruitcake, cedar, underbrush, blackcurrants and a hint of espresso roast emerge from this medium to full-bodied, rich, concentrated red. It needs 4-5 years of cellaring and should keep well for 2 to 3 decades
