Product description
Italy’s Piedmont region, in the heart of Gavi, is home to Villa Sparina, a winery founded in the 1970s by the Moccagatta family. The estate is renowned not only for its award-winning wines but also for its resort and restaurant, offering a holistic experience that reflects the region’s traditions and hospitality. Villa Sparina is particularly celebrated for its work with the Cortese grape, emblematic of Gavi.
Wine Description
In the glass, it shows a fine and persistent perlage with an elegant mousse. Aromas of bread crust, minerality, and hints of honey unfold delicately. The palate is fresh and fragrant, with balanced acidity and subtle earthy nuances that lead into a long and graceful finish. The wine is full-bodied yet vibrant, expressing both finesse and character. Best enjoyed now but capable of ageing gracefully for a few years.
Food Pairing
Perfect as an aperitif, Villa Sparina Brut pairs beautifully with fresh seafood such as oysters and clams, or lighter dishes like sushi and delicate appetisers.
