Originating from Italy in the Veneto region, specifically within the delle Venezie IGT appellation, Villa Teresa Organic Merlot represents a smooth, eco-conscious, and fruit-forward expression of Italian red winemaking. Produced by the historic Dinami family estate of Vintners Dinami / Fratelli Di Maria, the Villa Teresa line has been a pioneer in certified organic and vegan viticulture in northeastern Italy since the late 1980s. Sourced from organically farmed estate vineyards situated across the flat alluvial plains and gentle rolling hills of Venetia, the vines grow on clay, silt, and gravel soils. The winemaking philosophy emphasizes sustainable practices and minimal intervention, utilizing gentle destemming, temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats, and maturation without heavy oak influence to preserve pure red fruit character, soft tannins, and natural freshness.

Wine Description

The wine presents a clear, dark ruby red colour with bright garnet reflections along the rim. An expressive, highly fragrant bouquet opens with inviting aromas of ripe black plum, dark cherry, wild blackberry, and raspberry jam, interwoven with subtle notes of dried herbs, cocoa, sweet spice, and a touch of earthiness. On the palate, it is medium bodied, smooth, and approachable, delivering delicious flavours of plum curd, red berry jam, and subtle mineral earth, all supported by a balanced, refreshing spine of natural acidity. Framed by soft, velvety tannins and a supple mid-palate structure, it concludes with a clean, satisfying finish marked by lingering dark fruit, sweet herbs, and a gentle mineral lift. Composed of 100% Merlot, it offers a pure, unvarnished profile with immediate drinking appeal.
