Product description

The wine displays a bright cherry red colour. Aromas include fresh fruit and licorice, along with pronounced notes of spice and toasty flavours from the new oak.
On the palate, it is soft in the mouth with pleasant and velvety tannins, leading to a nice long harmonious finish.
The blend is 80% Tempranillo, 15% Mazuelo, and 5% Graciano, with grapes sourced from Cenicero and San Vicente de la Sonsierra. The wine is aged for 18 months in new American oak barrels, which adds hints of spice and cedar, followed by an additional 6 months in the bottle prior to release.
This aging regime puts it in the 'Crianza' category but with enough oaking that it could have been classified as a Reserva.

Food Pairing

  • Suggested pairings for this style of wine include lamb, veal, and poultry.

  • Rioja Crianzas are medium-bodied red wines that are excellent choices for heartier dishes with lamb, pork, mushrooms, or earthy vegetables.

  • A Crianza's fruity freshness makes it a perfect complement for aged sheep's milk cheeses like Manchego.

This pairing highlights the wine's depth and character.
