Product description
Viña Marichalar Tempranillo is a modern, fruit-driven red wine from the Rioja region of Spain. It is produced by Bodegas Manzanos, a family winery founded in 1890 that is currently run by the sixth generation of the Fernández de Manzanos family. The wine is crafted with a focus on youthful flair while respecting the long heritage of the estate's very old bush vines located in the La Muga and Los Poyatos vineyards.

This is a vibrant "fruit bomb" designed for easy drinking but with enough structure to remain serious.

Appearance: A deep cherry-red hue with purplish glints.

Aroma: The nose is intense and pure, dominated by juicy red fruits like cherry and redcurrant, complemented by subtle notes of liquorice, spices, and chocolate.

Palate: It is pleasantly full-bodied and round, featuring ripe tannins and uninhibited fruit flavours.

Technical Details: The blend typically consists of 95% Tempranillo and 5% Garnacha. Following a slow fermentation at controlled temperatures, the wine is aged for 6 months in a mixture of French and American oak barrels (mostly 2nd and 3rd year) to add roundness without overwhelming the fruit. It has an alcohol content of 13.5% ABV and is certified vegan.
