Product description
Originating from France in the Burgundy region, specifically within the Meursault appellation in the Cote de Beaune, Domaine Vincent Latour Meursault 'Les Grands Charrons' 2022 represents a rich, precise, and cellaring grade expression of classic Chardonnay. Produced by Domaine Vincent Latour under the direction of Vincent Latour, who took over his family estate in 1998, the domain is celebrated for combining traditional Burgundian technique with modern cellaring precision. Sourced from Les Grands Charrons, one of Meursault's most highly regarded village lieu-dit parcels featuring vines aged between 25 and 60 years planted on deep Jurassic limestone and clay soils, the winemaking philosophy emphasizes gentle pneumatic pressing, native yeast fermentation, aging on fine lees for 12 months in oak casks followed by 4 to 6 months in stainless steel tanks, and no batonnage (lees stirring) to guarantee crisp mineral tension, crystalline purity, and authentic terroir expression.
Wine Description
The wine presents a luminous, clear golden yellow colour with brilliant silver highlights along the rim. An expressive, complex bouquet opens with inviting aromas of ripe yellow apple, white peach, lemon curd, and lime blossom, interwoven with leesy richness, delicate floral notes, toasted hazelnut, vanilla, and a fine stone-dust mineral undertone. On the palate, it is medium-to-full bodied, dense, and creamy yet finely balanced by a vibrant, mouthwatering core of natural acidity. Framed by a satiny texture, subtle baking spice, and a taut, stony structure, it concludes with a long, energetic finish marked by lingering citrus zest, white peach, and persistent limestone minerality. Composed of 100% Chardonnay, this 2022 release offers an optimal drinking window of 2027–2035+. Stylistically, it captures classic Meursault richness and generous texture while maintaining exquisite mineral focus and freshness.
