Originating from France in the Burgundy region, specifically within the Volnay appellation in the Cote de Beaune, Domaine Vincent Latour Volnay Cuvee Nathan represents an exquisite, highly floral, and graceful expression of classic Pinot Noir. Crafted by Vincent Latour, a respected estate headquartered in Meursault and celebrated for its precision driven viticulture, this special cuvee is named in honour of his son Nathan. Sourced from choice village level parcels planted on steep, well drained limestone and marl soils, the winemaking philosophy focuses on sustainable vineyard management, careful hand harvesting, gentle destemming, and native yeast fermentation. The wine is aged in French oak barrels (approximately 20% to 25% new) for up to 18 months, preserving pure red fruit aromatics, delicate floral nuances, and the signature silky elegance for which Volnay is renowned.

Wine Description

The wine presents a brilliant, clear dark ruby red colour with soft magenta reflections in the glass. An inviting, highly perfume driven bouquet opens with expressive aromas of ripe red cherry, wild raspberry, and crushed red plum, interwoven with delicate nuances of red rose petal, violet, forest floor, and subtle toasted oak spice. On the palate, it is medium bodied, satiny, and harmonious, delivering vibrant flavours of fresh red berries, sour cherry, and subtle crushed stone minerality, all supported by a bright, mouthwatering core of natural acidity. Framed by Volnay's signature fine, lacy tannins and an energetic mid palate, it concludes with a long, graceful finish marked by lingering notes of red fruit and floral spice.
