Woodford Reserve Master's Collection Madeira Cask

Whisky Description

• Color: Chestnut or dark caramel.

• Aroma: A fruit-forward and complex bouquet featuring dark cherries, candied oranges, brown sugar, and mixed berries, with hints of clove, nutmeg, and vanilla.

• Palate: The palate is a rich tapestry with robust dried dark fruit notes like raisin and dried cranberries, toffee, vanilla, apples, and baking spice, backed by nutty notes from the Madeira casks. It has a medium-thin mouthfeel and a distinctly sweet profile.

• Body: The body is generally light, with the flavour matching its 90.4 proof.

• Finish: A long, smooth finish with lingering flavours of candied walnut, fruit notes, subtle chocolate, and sweet caramel undertones.

• Composition: This expression is a blended American whiskey, composed of bourbon, rye, and wheat whiskeys that were individually finished in Madeira casks, then blended with a separate, unfinished Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey.

• Stylistic notes: The whiskey is a beautifully balanced, fruit-forward, and complex expression that leverages the rich, fortified-wine notes from the Madeira casks.
