Woodford Reserve Kentucky Bourbon - 750 ml

Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a premium whiskey from the United States, originating from Woodford County in Kentucky. The distillery site has a heritage of production dating back to 1812, making it one of the oldest distillery sites in the state and a designated National Historic Landmark. While the site has a long pedigree, the Woodford Reserve brand itself was introduced in 1996. Today, the distillery is owned by the Brown Forman Corporation, which acquired the property in 1941 and later repurchased it to launch the current brand.

Description

This bourbon is crafted using a grain recipe of 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley, which is fermented for an industry leading six days and triple distilled in copper pot stills. The whiskey is matured in new charred oak barrels and is characterized by a complex balance of more than 200 detectable flavour notes.

• Colour: A clean and brilliant honey amber or deep amber hue.

• Aroma: Heavy with rich dried fruit and hints of mint and oranges dusted with cocoa, followed by faint vanilla and tobacco spice.

• Palate: Rich, chewy, and rounded with complex notes of citrus, cinnamon, toffee, caramel, and chocolate.

• Body: Full bodied and smooth with a robust character that adds depth.

• Finish: Silky smooth and almost creamy at first, leading into a long, warm, and satisfying tail.

• ABV: Woodford Reserve is typically bottled at 45.2%.
