Product description

Established in 1849, Yalumba is Australia’s oldest family-owned winery. For six generations the Hill-Smith family has showcased the best of the Barossa, letting the land lead the way.

Deep crimson red. An exotic mixture of aromas such as Turkish delight, blood plums, violet, blueberry and white pepper. Medium bodied with flavours of dark cherry and spiced fruit cake. The tannins are fine and mouth coating and the finish is plush and round showing the synergy of blending these two varieties. Goes well with beef skewers or Moroccan spiced grilled eggplant covered in sautéed ripe tomatoes, chilli and fresh herbs.

90 Points - James Suckling     Red plums and summer berries with a fragrant stone-fruit kick of viognier and a leafy edge, too. The palate has some good depth and delivers ripe berry and plum flavors, amid powdery, easygoing tannins. Proper red. Drink now. Screw cap.
