Zenato Amarone 2019 - 375 ml

Zenato is a family-owned estate founded in 1960 by Sergio Zenato, pairing modern winemaking with a devotion to local grapes. The winery operates on 95 hectares split between Lugana and Valpolicella Classica, with the latter's Costalunga hills providing well-drained marl soils that give the family’s red wines their characteristic depth.

Wine Description

In the glass, the wine presents an intense ruby red colour, which can deepen to a garnet hue with age. Intoxicating aromas of dried black cherries, cassis, truffles, and chocolate fudge leap out, complemented by bay leaf, dried prunes, blackberry jam, leather, and a hint of sweet spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rich, and plush-textured. You'll find concentrated dark fruit, mocha, chocolate, liquorice, and savoury spice notes. It boasts a silky, luscious, and complex feel.
