Product description
Château Clerc Milon is an 1855 5th Growth (Cinquième Grand Cru Classé) estate occupying a unique location in Pauillac, directly neighboring two premier First Growths. Its 41 hectares (100 acres) of vines stretch in a single continuous plot, largely situated on the beautiful Mousset outcrop that overlooks the Gironde estuary.
The 2023 release highlights the exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon of this unique microclimate, delivering a precise, concentrated, and beautifully balanced Pauillac expression.
Wine Description
The Château Clerc Milon 2023 presents a deep red color with a refined garnet hue. The nose opens with a precocious, flamboyant bouquet of bilberry, blackcurrant, and fresh blackberry, beautifully accented by sweet floral notes, cedarwood, subtle pepper, pencil shavings, and new oak.
On the palate, this wine showcases a seamless, creamy smoothness and a layered, fleshy core. Medium to full-bodied, its dense and concentrated texture—so typical of top Cabernet Sauvignon—is lifted by an attractive burst of vibrant fruit and refreshing acidity. Stylish, sweet, and well-structured tannins frame the mid-palate along with distinct chalky mineral, salty, and savory notes. The finish is exceptionally long and harmonious, lingering with persistent freshness, cocoa bean, hazelnut, and licorice.
