Officially classified as a Second Growth in the historic 1855 Bordeaux Classification, the estate is celebrated for its majestic neo-classical chateau and unparalleled vineyard placement near the Gironde estuary.
Wine Description
In the glass, this wine exhibits a deep, intense purple colour that borders on opaque black. The bouquet is classic and aristocratic, slowly unfurling to reveal scents of blackberries, cassis, and dark plums, seamlessly interlaced with signatures of pencil lead, graphite, cedar, and subtle tobacco leaf. On the palate, it is medium to full bodied with a remarkably pure and concentrated core of black fruits backed by a structured, laser guided backbone of fine grained tannins.
