Hailing from the renowned Pauillac appellation in Bordeaux, France, Pastourelle de Clerc Milon is the distinguished second wine of Château Clerc Milon. The estate, a Fifth Growth classified in 1855, was acquired in 1970 by Baron Philippe de Rothschild, who transformed the then-dilapidated property into a world-class vineyard. Today, the winemaking philosophy focuses on precision and technical excellence, utilizing a modern gravity-flow winery and hand-selected grapes from 247 distinct parcels to maintain a perfect balance of power and fruit.
Wine Description
This wine presents a deep crimson appearance with a vibrant purplish hue. On the nose, it is elegant and expressive, revealing intense aromas of ripe black fruit, such as bilberry, mingled with scents of rose petal, mocha, and enticing pastry-shop notes. The palate is rich and explosive, featuring a creamy attack that leads into a smooth, full mid-palate dominated by juicy red and dark fruit. Chiseled, precise tannins provide a refined structure and complexity, while the long finish lingers with delicate touches of spice and cocoa.
